Hello Everybody!
This year, there is a new program up and running…you may have heard a little bit about it on Senior Camp 2011. It is casually referred to as ‘Nuggets’ – but really, it is a Grants program. Interested? Curious? Well…read on.
The CE Network Grants Program
A funding program for CE Network Members which meets a Kingdom / spiritual need and helps South Australians in renewal, worship, service, community building and mission.
The CE (Christian Endeavour) Network is a movement of young people who are committed to following Jesus Christ. We are absolutely convinced that we only grow as followers of Jesus by practising what He preaches. Christianity isn’t a philosophy, it’s not about who knows the most in their heads. Christian Endeavourers are doers.
The CE Network comprises of 5 practices. There are all sorts of variations on these themes, but these 5 practices are essential to practice if Jesus’ followers are to grow into strong and well balanced people who will make a lasting difference in Jesus’ name.

…and the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ Matthew 22:39

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. John 13:34
…and the Mission of God
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20a
Who is eligible to apply?
A person who has attended a CE Camp or Summit, aged 12-21 years, is eligible to receive up to $250.

The following activities may be eligible for a CE Network Grant:
• Developing a new project, or improving / expanding an existing project
• One off events, including arts and cultural activities
• A variety of practical projects which meet real need, including community services and social welfare
• A variety of environmental stewardship projects which protect God’s creation, including community gardens
• Equipment purchases
• Development, including training volunteers and conferences
The following activities cannot be considered:
• Requests from individuals and groups not members of The CE Network
• Ongoing costs (e.g. salaries, rent, telephone, electricity)
• General fundraising requests
• Already completed / commenced programs, including reimbursement of money already spent
An application will be assessed according to the:
• extent the project reflects The CE Network practices and engages people with these practices.
• extent the project meets a demonstrated need and is appropriate to that need.
• evidence of a clear purpose and plan for achieving that purpose.
• applicant’s own contribution to the project, whether in time or finances.
Other information
• The advertised closing dates for applications are not flexible.
• Keep a copy of your application and any other relevant information you include in your application.
• A ‘Completion Form’ should be completed within 6 months of the approval date and recipients should be prepared to present a PowerPoint slide to the CE community about their project. Presentation slide is to include your name, photo and dot points.
