I thought that it would be handy to have a second page with the nitty gritty leadership details that need to be addressed for applying this year, and rather than slapping it all on the one post, I thought it’d be easier to have a secondary ‘details’ post for you all!
It is a requirement of Senior CE Camp that all leaders undergo a police check every two years. For this to happen, you need to complete an online application form from the SA Police website (see link below). If you had a police check done for CE 10/11, then you do not need to worry about one this year – if you didn’t then please follow the provided steps below

Complete the Application form as follows:
a) Personal information – self explanatory
b) Consent – do not sign this until you attend the police station because it must be signed at the same time you produce your ID
c) Proof of Identity – need at least two documents and at least 100 points
d) Purpose of Request – tick volunteer and write ‘Youth Camp Leader’
e) Type of Request – tick VOAN (VC), it will not cost you any money
f) Take the form and proof of identity to local police station. You will be asked to sign there and they will complete other sections.
g) Post the original copy (do not leave at police station) to 121a Cliff St, Glengowrie SA 5044 and we will complete the last section ‘Volunteer Authority’ and will send application to Police Records Unit. The certificate will be posted to you. Please bring then send us a copy of it (either via post or email) and we will copy it for our records.
Also, this year for CE Camp, ALL leaders (including myself and the rest of the Exec team) are required to participate in mandatory notification training. Yes, we have had a few hours devoted to it on Day 0 on camp, but this year, we all must partake in a full day before arriving at camp. At this stage, there is a full day organised for CE Leaders to get it done if you haven’t done it already, it will be in late November at Holy Trinity, North Terrace (last time I knew), and will set you back $45 for the full 8 hours. I will confirm the details soon. but please note, if you DO NOT COMPLETE the mandatory notification training, then you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LEAD on camp this year. Sounds harsh, but it’s the facts.
PAYMENTS
Regarding payment for leaders, the same rate still applies. It is set at $100, you can either pay online (direct deposit), write a check, or pay on camp. As in previous, paying early will get you a bonus for the canteen!
Details for payment are below, please indicate date payment was made and account number on the camper form before sending to us.
